Love the sonic palette on this record. Every sound feels intentional and the mix is pristine. A couple of the songs blur together on casual listens but focused listening reveals the nuances. Very strong work overall.

Just when you think you've heard it all, an album like this comes along.

I keep going back and forth on this one. Some days I think it's underrated, other days I think the consensus is about right. The production is genuinely interesting — there are textures and sonic choices here that I haven't heard elsewhere. But the songwriting underneath all that ornamentation is sometimes pretty thin. It's one of those albums that's more fun to think about and discuss than it is to actually listen to, if that makes sense. The concept is great, the execution is uneven. I respect it more than I enjoy it, but I do respect it quite a bit.

Returned to this after a few years away and it hit even harder than I remembered. Some albums age poorly but this one has only gotten better with time. The themes feel more relevant now than ever and the sonics still sound fresh.

This has some of the best individual songs of the decade even if the album has weak spots.

An absolute masterpiece from start to finish. Every track earns its place.

A solid album with some standout tracks, but a bit uneven overall.

Really impressive debut that announced a major new talent. There are a few rough edges that betray inexperience, but the raw ability and creative vision are undeniable. Can't wait to hear what comes next.

Solid if unspectacular album that does exactly what you'd expect from this artist. The songwriting is competent, the production is clean, and there are enough standout moments to keep you engaged. But it never really surprises you or takes any genuine risks. I've listened to it maybe half a dozen times and I enjoy it each time, but I never find myself reaching for it over their better work. It's the kind of album that's perfectly pleasant background music but doesn't demand your full attention the way their best records do.

A landmark release that deserves every bit of praise it gets.
